Purpose or Talent? (cont.)              Back

Do you live a valuable life? Or do you just possess valuable things? There is a difference. There are many things we can do to make our lives more "comfortable" but only purpose can make our lives "valuable." We can all identify the various abilities we have whether it be to sing, write, dance or manage a corporation. However, how many of us can identify our true value?

In other words, people can buy your products, your CD's, your movies, etc. They can see the value of your name on a garment, but can they see the value of you to a point where they will buy into you? Can you stand by the quality of you as you do your abilities?

The Father did not design you or I to be merely the name on a shoe. He designed us to be His sons in the earth. He gave us His nature and His ability to create worlds. That is the value that He desires us to maximize. However, some way or some how, some of us became satisfied with the acceptance of our gifts and made them greater than us... -to a point where we have identified ourselves with them and not with our original purpose.

This is why one can be rich and yet empty, famous and yet undefined, accomplished and yet unfulfilled.

Can you identify the value of you? Are you your most prized possession? We can say that we are children of the King but if we are still allowing our talents to gage our "worth," then we have not yet found it. In order for us to identify the value of who we are, we must be willing to identify the person that God made and not the one made by the record label. This has nothing to do with becoming religious. It simply has to do with each of us coming to know the original intention that God had for us... the intention that thought you might also like to play a flute while living in that power.

The Father gave gifts to His sons without repentance but not without reason. Your abilities were intended to serve you and not the other way around. However, when we have allowed things in our lives to give us a mindset of self worthlessness, we limit ourselves to gifts and never express the full extent of our divine nature. In other words, we become mere entertainers whose works live past us instead of us becoming an eternal expression that never fades.

There is allot of money in entertainment,... but there is much more to you.
